Cement Remedial Grouting Procedure

Print

If good returns were obtained at surface/seabed during the primary cement job, the casing to the drive pipe annulus should be topped up as follows:

  1. RUN a 2” tubing string down to the annulus as far as possible and circulate.
  2. SLOWLY PUMP the cement slurry (Class G cement mixed with 1.5 % CaCl2 mixwater) in the annulus until good cement returns are obtained at surface. POOH stinger. Note: STOP pumping if there are not returns after pumping 50 bbls  of grout cement.
  3. WAIT on cement for two hours.
  4. REPEAT the above procedure as required (if TOC > 10ft below sea bed).
